The Silverthorne Police Department is accepting applications for the hourly position of Evidence Technician. This team-oriented position is responsible for handling property and evidence, including the classification and storage of all evidence including chain of custody reports. This includes the transportation of evidence to and from the Courts, the District Attorneys Office and various crime laboratories. The ideal candidate will be willing to learn or have experience in crime scene processing.
Further requirements include:
Two years of general clerical experience or experience related to the operation and/or inventory control of a stockroom or warehouse.
Valid Colorado Driver's License
No felony convictions
The ability to pass a polygraph, psychological, background investigation, and drug test.
Training or experience with principles and practices used in property and evidence handling, classification and storage.
Training and experience including relevant course work in crime scene processing and crime scene documentation.
The typical workweek will consist of Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, with the ability to be occasionally available after hours.
Salary: $45,506 or higher DOQ. Excellent cafeteria-style benefits and retirement package.
