Howard Stern, fellow "shock jock", has been burned by public criticism a few times himself

At first they came...
At first the religious leaders came for Howard and Opie and Anthony. I was very offended, I did not speak out, and they took them away.

Then the gay leaders came for Laura. She is a woman with a religious belief who made free speech, I did not know the woman, so I said nothing so they took her away.

Then the black leaders came for Imus, I liked the show and I will miss it, I did not like his comment, so I said nothing and they took him away.

Now they are coming for Sean, Bill and Rush.

They are all comics who entertain me and commentators that inform me. I will try to speak up, but we have already lost a few really really good speakers, and that has made us weaker.

Finally they will come for us, the religious, the gays, the blacks and the conservatives, and they will take us away because there will be no one left to speak out.

Lets all speak up while we can!
