Top 30 to Be Released and Published in the Recruitment and Retention Special Report October 19, 2006
FAIRFAX, Va., Aug. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Cox, Matthews and Associates, Inc., publisher of Diverse: Issues In Higher Education magazine, has released its rankings of the Top 30 national firms and corporations most effective at diversity recruiting. The survey, "Winning the Race for Diverse Talent" is a combined independent survey conducted by Cox, Matthews and Associates and Diversity Best Practices, Inc. The complete results will be published in Diverse's Recruitment and Retention Special Report, to be released in October.
"This is ground breaking information for Corporate America and Higher Education Institutions and the first time that a survey of this kind was conducted. We believe that Corporate America will begin to notice their diversity recruitment efforts on college campuses around the country, and begin to acknowledge the companies ranked in the Top 30 as a benchmark of best practices for achieving effective diversity recruitment, in the future," says Bill Cox, CEO and President of Cox, Matthews and Associates, Inc.
Enterprise Rent-A-Car tops the list of most effective at diversity recruiting, with Target, IBM, Ford Motor Company and Microsoft rounding out the Top 5. As a part of the survey, career services officers were asked to identify five national businesses and firms that did an exceptional job recruiting diverse graduates. Responses were received from a representative mix of 234 institutions from across the United States.
In addition, the survey examined the corporate institutions that higher education professionals deemed most successful in the recruitment and retention of their graduates. Diverse's survey also explores the business characteristics students use to monitor diversity.
