The Business Productivity Online Services team has an exciting role for an experienced Partner Account Manager focused on growing Microsoft’s Saas (Software as a Service business through our BPOS product offering which today includes hosted Exchange, Sharepoint, Conferencing and Unified Communications Services (UC Services). The position will focus on leading Microsoft’s Cloud strategy with channel partners (LAR’s, VAR’s, SI’s,and Disti’s) to help develop a strategic channel that can become an extension of the Microsoft sales team and create a reciprocal sales and service relationship.
This opportunity contributes to US sales goals and will evangelize and directly sell Saas, drive partner marketing programs and deliver strategic sales programs and incentives to achieve a WINS/Customer Adds objective and be part of the core team driving the delivery of Microsoft’s Software + Services (S+S) strategy.
Primary responsibilities include:
Meeting or exceeding territory WINS targets.
Partner on-boarding, Partner Activations, sales enablement, market development and technical and sales training to generate leads for partner and sales closure.
Manage and build relationships with individual partner teams and reps to help them more effectively sell Business Productivity Online Services.
Evangelize BPOS to drive awareness and execute marketing and sales programs across the partner set.
Manage and review partner opportunity pipeline with sales leadership team.
Resource and support partner driven sales efforts.
Facilitate Microsoft field engagement across sales roles to shorten sales cycles on key opportunities.
Partner with appropriate Business Development Managers, Partner Marketing Managers and BPOS SSP’s and TSP’s to successfully execute against sales and marketing campaigns.
Build awareness with and support BPOS with appropriate Microsoft peers (PAM’s, Sales, etc).
The ideal candidate will have proven sales and partner account management experience with a track record of success. Teamwork, strong presentation and cross-group collaboration skills are essential. Industry/reseller experience, technical aptitude (preferably, with Software as a Service, messaging (Exchange), messaging services (security, DR & Compliance) and collaboration (Sharepoint and LiveMeeting), excellent communication and negotiation skills required; approx 50% travel. BA/BS required or equivalent work experience.
