Tech Solution Prof – MS Online

Dallas, TX


This role will cover the south central and heartland regions but must be based out of the south central region with a preference of Dallas.
As an MS Online Technical Sales Professional (SSP) for the BPOS S team covering the CIAM and CPM market segments respectively, you will be a member of a specialized team of worldwide solution sales professionals responsible for delivering the Microsoft Online Services value proposition as it relates to SaaS, BPOS and Microsoft’s overall Cloud strategy. You will deliver these cutting edge messages to our customers and partner in an effort to increase Microsoft’s breadth and depth within our SMS&P portfolio and how this software as a service model fits into the Microsoft stack. You will own a customer WINS quota on BPOS sales as well as a partner adds and activations quota which is paramount to the growth of our Online business.

Your job responsibilities will be:
As an MS Online Technical Sales Professional (MS Online TSP) you will work directly with customers to provide technical pre-sales support for complex opportunities based on Microsoft’s hosted services including hosted collaboration and messaging. Additionally you will work with key BPOS partners providing training and pre-sales support for opportunities they are leading. A significant responsibility is to provide input and feedback from customers, partners and field staff to the product team so that they may adjust and refine the hosted services product development and marketing process.

In addition you will have a responsibility to work with your BPOS Partner Account Managers to develop new partners, and drive partner activations, which is a BPOS partner who sells 8 deals at 25 seats or greater. You will bear the responsibility of identifying targeted accounts and the ways in which Microsoft can dislodge the competition or augment the share of Microsoft technologies within accounts. You will work to Promote Software as a Service in the District and engage with the UC STU Team for CIAM and with the CPM account mangers to help drive market share and activation or expansion of current sold services.
This job entails helping guide architecture of hosted services solutions for customers, removing roadblocks to deployment, and driving adoption of strategies through partners. You will help the field sales teams identify opportunities, help customers evaluate hosted services solutions within their environments, and develop pilots/trials to support sales opportunities through partners. You will also frequently mentor other Microsoft staff in order to build technical expertise for hosted services solutions in the field. Close integration with and support of the field sales teams is essential.

The ideal candidate will have a proven record of technical pre-sales success and of building technical relationships. He or she will have deep understanding of hosted solutions and the SaaS industry. He or she must possess knowledge of the competitors in these hosted services fields. Ability to effectively present to a wide range and size of audiences from IT technician to CIO level is a must. A good understanding of issues surrounding deployment and integration of technologies and solutions is required. MCSE or CISSP is preferred. Significant travel is required (up to 50%).

Requirements
Proven success with enterprise customers in a pre-sales capacity
Ability to deliver trials/Proof of Concept implementations to support sales
A minimum of 9 years experience in enterprise software sales, enterprise consulting or an equivalent
Demonstrated experience and success engaging with executives in a sales process; demonstrated experience working with leading telco, consulting, and systems integrator partners and major computer vendors.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, analytical and presentation skills are required.
Deep understanding of security technologies and of competitors in anti-virus and anti-spam
Strong understanding of hosted services including hosted e-mail filtering, hosted archiving, e-mail continuity, and encryption and of competitors’ offerings in these area.
Strong understanding of hosted web conferencing services and of the major competitors for web conferencing solutions
BS degree
MCSE/CISSP Certifications
This position can be based in any major city in the South Central district.
