Enterprise Tech Strategist - MS Online BPOS Cloud

COMPETITIVE ENTERPRISE TECHNOLOGY STRATEGIST FOR ONLINE/BPOS/Cloud: Office, Exchange Server, SharePoint Server and BPOS (product associations)

Do you have proven experience with business productivity value selling? Are you familiar with the Microsoft Office System, BPOS and the competitive landscape including Google Apps, Gmail and/or Zoho? Do you also have world-class communications skills? If so, you may be ready to join our Customer Advocacy and Technology Management (CATM) team as an Enterprise Technology Strategist. As an Enterprise Technology Strategist, your primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: persuading our largest enterprise customers’ business and technical decision makers of the superior business value and technical capabilities of our products and our long-term vision and strategy. You’ll present to customers at the $100 million Executive Briefing Center on Microsoft’s main corporate campus in Redmond, Washington. As an Enterprise Technology Strategist, you will also travel around the world to assist local Microsoft account teams in closing large enterprise licensing deals in competitive sales situations. You’ll build a record of accomplishment that includes building stronger enterprise customer relationships and securing the adoption of Microsoft technology worth millions of dollars per year in revenue.

Enterprise Technology Strategists enjoy one of the most visible positions at Microsoft. In addition to senior level interaction with our largest customers, Enterprise Technology Strategists periodically present to Microsoft’s own executive staff, to the Microsoft enterprise sales organization and at Microsoft conferences worldwide. They are highly sought after by Microsoft sales teams for their advice in tough competitive situations and simultaneously work with Microsoft’s product development teams to share competitive insights and recommendations.

To be successful in this exciting and demanding role, Enterprise Technology Strategists must possess world-class presentation skills as well as solid technical and business knowledge of both Microsoft and competitive technologies. Successful Enterprise Technology Strategists have great communication and relationship-building skills, are sincerely customer focused, are action oriented, deal well with ambiguity, think strategically, and are self-starters. As a basis for success, candidates for this role should have 5-8 years’ of directly relevant experience at a minimum. Candidates with technical sales experience around email and collaboration are especially encouraged to apply. This position is based in Redmond and 20% travel on average should be expected.
