Do you want to be part of the team that is helping shape our sales strategy for Collaboration? One of the most critical areas for role-based productivity is the ability for information workers to collaborate more effectively. Our efforts in Infrastructure Optimization will provide a key on-ramp to expose our unique Collaboration value to customers. The Collaboration area is red hot from a product standpoint with SharePoint and is one of the most high-profile areas at Microsoft.
As the Business Architect for Collaboration you will be responsible for driving the end to end sales strategy and execution for this critical growth business. You will drive sales, marketing, services and partner plans to ensure that all routes to market are performing to their potential. You will synthesize feedback from business intelligence sources (scorecards, reporting) and field inputs to optimize execution, revenue and drive course corrections. In addition, in this role, you will partner with many diverse groups at Microsoft and report back to executives about the progress of the Collaboration business.
Main responsibilities of this highly visible role include:
Ø Working with key field leadership teams to help Account Managers, Account Technical Specialists, Product Technical Specialists and Solution Specialists drive connection from IO discovery into account plan actions around the Collaboration capability found in the Business Productivity IO model.
Ø Build and drive virtual team of stakeholders and experts across EPG (sales, marketing, partner, services) and Business Groups (BGs).
Ø Establish the vision, goals and milestones in partnership with BGs and stakeholder commitment and clarity for target scenarios and revenue numbers.
Ø Work on the next generation of the Infrastructure Optimization models by helping to define the field execution model with an eye on what it will take to succeed across all of the Business Productivity capabilities and integration into the Application Platform models
Ø Drive the rhythm of the business for Collaboration including monthly team scorecard meetings, quarterly reviews with executives on that state of the Collaboration business and overall governance
Ø Drive progress around value propositions, competitive positioning, customer insight and targeting against the Infrastructure Optimization model, partner capacity, field sales capacity and readiness tools, customer wins, Microsoft services offerings and capacity.


Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years experience in IT and the Enterprise segment and deep insight across sales, marketing and IT services functions and be familiar with CIO challenges, ideally in collaboration, content management or related areas. Demonstrable skills in the following areas are critical:
Ø Business planning and development
Ø Virtual team leadership
Ø Strategic leadership combined with strong ability to execute and drive for results
Ø Executive engagement and communication
Ø Strong business insight and customer insight around key infrastructure needs and challenges
Ø Excellent organizational skills, strong strategic thinking and customer empathy
Ø Project management
