General Description:

The National Accounts Manager will be responsible for maintaining and growing a portfolio of national Federal/Government customers with multiple locations that cross region boundaries. Most of the customers in their portfolio will be associated with a specific end-user segment or channel. National Account Managers will develop growth strategies for their assigned segment(s) that will profitably increase GP position/penetration within the market. This home based position in the Baltimore, Maryland/Washington, DC area reports to a Director, National Accounts.

Education:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Bachelor's degree preferred.

Basic Qualifications:

· Minimum of 10 years progressive work/educational experience in a sales, managerial, leadership, customer service and/or relationship building role.

· Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite of Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excelis required.

· Valid US Driver's License is required.

Knowledge-Skills-Abilities:

· Must reside in the DC/ Baltimore area that optimally supports overall segment penetration requirements

· Experience calling on Federal/Government accounts preferred.

· Demonstrated ability to successfully sell a value-added portfolio of products employing a consultative, problem-solving approach.

· Demonstrated ability to work independently against a variety of objectives using time management skills to meet and exceed internal/external customer expectations.

· Demonstrated ability to collaboratively lead cross-functional initiatives to successful outcomes without direct authority.

· Strong communications skills including oral, written, presentation and active listening.

· Strong project management skills and demonstrated capability.

· Demonstrated ability to view problems, issues and needs from a customer's perspective; incorporating creative problem solving techniques to identify appropriate solutions.

· Demonstrated ability to maintain consistently updated customer activity reports/files; or similar data-mining capabilities.

· Demonstrated ability for continuous learning in a highly competitive, fast changing market place.
