St. Patrick: Patron Saint of Ireland
17 March 2006As is typical of Irish legends, the story of St. Patrick is generally vague and often fantastical in scope. Historical accounts, however, traced the real St. Patrick in the person of Maewynn Succat. He was born in Scotland or Wales around 370 A.D. to Roman parents, Calpurnius and Conchessa, who were pagans living in Britain.
