Clinical Research Unit Phase I Infusion Clinical Nurse ADN or BSN (FT 12Hour Days)

8:30 a.m. - 9 p.m., 9 a.m. - 9:30 p.m., or 9:30 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Position Summary and Key Responsibilities

The Phase 1 Infusion Nurse is an experienced nurse that is ready to take her Oncology Nursing experience to the next level. The Phase 1 unit is where the next possible cancer cure is being delivered. The nurse works collaboratively with the Clinical Trial Office, and provides treatment to patients enrolled on in Phase I to Phase III clinical trials. The Phase 1 Infusion nurse provides first in human medication, as well as FDA approved medication. The Phase 1 Infusion nurse with the Clinical Research Nurse is responsible to assure that the documentation for all treatments, and related tasks are documented and completed accurately.The Phase 1 Nurse actively participates in planning and evaluation processes to improve and advance clinical research within the organization. The Phase 1 Infusion Nurse in Oncology fulfills the role in congruence with Oncology Nursing Society Competency Guidelines for Clinical Research Nurses.

Minimum Education and Skills Required for Consideration:

Associate Degree in Nursing Required. BSN (Bachelors in Nursing) preferred

2 years of clinical experience in Infusion and Chemotherapy (Chemotherapy Certification Preferred)

  • A background in critical care may be considered if Infusion/Chemotherapy experience is limited.

Current California RN License
