The Department of Developmental Biology encompasses the clinical specialties of pediatric dentistry and orthodontics, as well as scientists focused on basic research. Members of the department teach and mentor postdoctoral fellows, orthodontics fellows, pediatric dental residents, students enrolled in the DMD program, MD and Ph.D. candidates at Harvard Medical School, and undergraduate students at Harvard University.

The Division of Orthodontics in the Department of Developmental Biology at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine invites applications for a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor position. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Successful candidates should have a strong record and future promise in teaching and scholarship in Orthodontics and be able to join a vibrant program recognized nationally and internationally for educating leaders in patient care, research and service. Activities will include clinical and didactic teaching in both pre- and postdoctoral education programs; participation in ongoing national and international continuing education programs; scholarly activities, and service to the university and community. The position also includes research and/or clinical responsibilities, based on level of interest.

Basic Qualifications: The successful candidate must hold a dental degree (DMD or DDS) from a CODA-accredited dental school or equivalent and hold or be eligible for a Massachusetts dental license.

Additional Qualifications: Advanced Graduate Training/Full Certification by the American Board of Orthodontics is preferred. Prior academic experience of at least three years is a plus.
