ASSOCIATE DEGREE NURSING CLINICAL INSTRUCTOR

Fayetteville Technical Community College is now accepting applications for the following position: Associate Degree Nursing Clinical Instructor.



Duties



Provide direct clinical supervision to assigned students. Provide clinical direction and offer clinical opportunities to assist the students to meet clinical objectives for courses assigned to the clinical faculty are assigned. Complete daily and final clinical evaluations for students assigned. Review and grade clinical assignments. Collaborate and communicate with lead course instructors and Program Clinical Coordinator as needed. Recruit students for the Associate Degree Nursing program. Register and advise pre-health and Associate Degree Nursing students. Monitor and improve student retention. Provide input on program review, assessment, and other departmental activities. Periodically evaluate and develop new courses. Revise and update existing courses for relevancy and currency consistent with the role and mission of the college. Maintain accurate scholastic and membership records of students enrolled in classes and prepare and submit reports as required. Continually develop and improve skills through professional development. Provide quality customer service to students, faculty, and staff. Maintain the standards of the North Carolina Board of Nursing and the Accreditation Commission of Nurse Education (ACEN) within the program by observing all institutional and departmental policies and procedures. Work two (2) twelve (12) hour shifts per week at an assigned clinical site. Participate in faculty committees and other activities, as assigned.



Minimum Qualifications



Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with a minimum of two years employment in direct patient care as a registered nurse. Must have current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in North Carolina. Current CPR certification in BLS. Complete drug screen and have all vaccinations updated and current and have recent negative PPD within one year of hire. Communication, both oral and written, skills necessary. Must have efficiency in Microsoft Office ( Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).



Preferred Requirements



Master's Degree in Nursing with a minimum of two years employment in direct patient care as a registered nurse. Teaching experience at the community college or four-year college. On-line teaching experience.
