Job Summary: The Broadcast Production & Support Specialist will distribute their workload between video production, and advertising sales support duties. Assists with advertising sales in the prospecting, booking, closing and maintenance of prospective and existing video advertisers, and will videotape, edit and assist in the production of all video and broadcast products produced by The Gazette.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Production Support:

  • Assist and attend video/broadcast focused sales calls with Account Executives as needed.

  • Keep current on latest trends to help identify revenue growth opportunities in video and broadcast.

  • Record and edit videos and broadcasts for both clients and Company as needed.

  • Record and edit high-end videos, produce live-stream video content to grow share versus traditional broadcast media.

  • Provide high-quality video and broadcast products to support the efforts of news coverage, sales, promotions, contests, events and branding.

  • Provide photography support for advertisers and The Gazette as needed.

  • Design, edit, and execute digital creative for prospects, clients, and The Gazette as requested.

  • Provide research for equipment and software.

  • Responsible for ensuring video equipment used in the field is secured and maintained. Must also ensure broadcast operations facility is properly equipped and maintained.

  • Coordinate with the all appropriate departments to maintain consistent, quality programming.

Advertising Support:

  • Provide excellent customer service to prospective and existing advertisers.

  • Provide back up support to fellow team members as needed.

  • Assist in answering phone inquiries from existing and prospective customers.

  • Knowledgeable about digital opportunities including SEO and PPC.

  • Work independently to complete a set schedule of tasks daily, weekly and monthly.

  • Develop prospect lists of non-advertisers in competitive media for video and digital opportunities.

  • Assist with accounting and research needs.

  • Insertion order entry via the internal booking system, manifest corrections on a daily basis for team.

  • Back-up buddy system for other coordinators on staff and provide assistance to reps while in the field.

  • Able to react to change productively and handle other essential duties as assigned.

  • Timely attendance during a regular and predictable schedule is required. Certain critical times of the workday exist during which duties of this position must be performed.

  • Assist in developing advertising sales materials for advertising products and sections.

    Minimum Education & Work Experience Requirements:

    Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations or similar discipline.

    Experience: Minimum of 4 years of television, film or broadcast experience.
