Call for abstracts for the 19th Annual Stream Restoration Symposium by River Restoration Northwest (rrnw.org)



This event is organized by River Restoration Northwest, RRNW, a nonprofit scientific and educational organization, with a mission to advance the science and standards of practice of river restoration through an interdisciplinary approach.



The Symposium will be held at Skamania Lodge, Stevenson, Washington, USA, from February 4th through 6th, 2020.



Suggested topics include:





  • Lessons Learned - Constructability and Adaptive Design


  • Endangered Species, Invasives, and Shifting Equilibriums


  • Climate Variability, Wildfire & Watersheds


  • Urban Systems and Multi-Objective Planning


  • Scientific Communication and Community Involvement


  • Ecosystem Services & Environmental markets




Oral presentations are 20 minutes long, including 5 minutes for discussion and questions, grouped into sessions of three to four based on content. Due to the short time slots, only one presenter is allowed. Presentations are given in a plenary format to an audience of approximately 400 from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.



Poster presentations are highly valued and encouraged, as they allow extended interaction between authors and attendees.



During the symposium, a non-LA CES worksheet is available for self-reporting attended sessions for your professional records.
