Dental Front Office Coordinator/ Receptionist

Job Description:



We are looking for a Receptionist to manage our front desk on a daily basis and to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients.





  • Our Receptionist's duties include offering administrative support.


  • You will welcome patients and greet people who visit the office.


  • You will coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and answering phone calls.


  • To be a successful Receptionist, you should have a pleasant personality, as this is also a customer service role. You should be able to deal with patients in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking is essential for this position.


  • The hours for this role are 8:15 AM - 6:30 PM on Mondays and Wednesdays, and 8:15 AM - 5:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays.


  • Ultimately, a Receptionist's duties and responsibilities are to ensure the front desk welcomes patients positively, and executes all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards.




Responsibilities



• Greet and welcome patients as soon as they arrive at the office
• Answer incoming phone calls. Take appropriate action.
• Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
• Provide basic and accurate information in person and via phone/email/mail
• Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
• Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock
• Update office schedules
• Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as billing, insurance, filing, photocopying, and faxing

Skills

• Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
• Additional experience with dental software a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word
• Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines, scanners & printers)
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to be resourceful, proactive & flexible
• Excellent organizational skills
• Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
• Customer service attitude
• High school degree



Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $16.00 to $20.00 /hour
