DIRECTOR OF DIGITAL MARKETING

Universal Screen Arts, Inc., a multi-brand catalog and online retailer in beautiful Hudson, Ohio, is currently seeking a Director of Digital Marketing. The Director of Digitals key responsibility will be to work closely with the VP Digital/eCommerce to define a path and lead Universal Screen Arts from a pure catalog-centric focus to more of a digital first focus. Catalogs are our key drivers of new customers and overall demand and will continue to be a key driver for the foreseeable future. This position will need to partner with our VP of Print Marketing and Analytics to lessen the reliance on catalogs and to profitably drive new customer acquisition and rebuys on the web. In addition to this partnership with our VP of Print Marketing; establishing strong partnerships with the Brand Managers, CEO and other members of the Executive Team is critical for success. Strategies to drive this change are to be clearly defined, presented and agreed to by the Executive Team. Success criteria will be defined, measured and reported on an agreed upon basis. Establish best practices throughout all areas of responsibility.





ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



Digital Marketing





  • Develop Digital Marketing strategy and plan for each brand, aligned with the Brand Promise and overall product strategies. Agreed to by each brand manager


  • Implement goals and benchmarks by brands and develop a roadmap to achieve revenue goals; monitor sales and profit performance


  • Define metrics, methodologies and appropriate dashboards to track and analyze e-commerce in alignment with total company revenue and profitability goals


  • Measure results vs planned targets by Brand, sharing the information with the Brands. Align on adjustments necessary to optimize the plan if need be


  • Coordinate Marketing campaigns across SEO, email, and other digital channels for each brand


  • Establish and execute an on-line customer acquisition strategy. Strategy to include defining acceptable cost of acquisition and measuring performance vs targets


  • Establish PLA targets by brand based on LTV, agreed to by Brand and CEO. Measure performance vs targets.


  • Develop retargeting programs, email campaigns (blast and trigger), search and other digital programs by brand as part of the digital marketing plan. All initiatives are to have clearly defined goals and test plans/reporting to optimize these initiatives


  • Understand what is special about each brand to develop programs that leverage a brands point of difference.


  • Develops community strategies to leverage customer purchase data to design targeted marketing activities

Loyalty Programs



  • Drive growth through the two loyalty programs at Universal Clarus and Bas Bleu


  • Understand the loyalty programs impact on the brands and customers, sharing the learnings with the brand managers and Executive team


  • Manage the relationship with Clarus with continuous focus on improving the performance of the program


  • Recommend enhancements that can be driven through Universals various programs


  • Website



  • Develop and communicate Website strategy and plans what are the objectives and plans to grow our eCommerce business as a percentage of the total business. Gain agreement with respective Brand Managers


  • Establish best practices and reporting to ensure compliance. Best practices to cover but not limited to facets, refresh of home page, optimization of check out funnel, etc


  • Optimize flow of product information to enable eCommerce for our Catalog products


  • Develop key words for all categories and products.


  • Ensure that winning products have the right content photos, videos, searchable terms, etc


  • Drive website usability improvements, including navigation, product ordering, product page optimization and other merchandising driven usability efforts


  • Provide data to brands to help them understand customer behavior and activity


  • Provide Website strategy and plan for each brand that is agreed to by the brand managers


  • Mobile



  • Develop and communicate our Mobile strategy and plans what are the objectives and plans to grow and support our Mobile business


  • Social Media/other influencers



  • Develop social media strategy for each brand, agreed to by the brand managers


  • Implement plan and measure key activities vs targets/objectives


  • Regularly communicate with brands to identify trends to leverage via Social Media


  • Determine whether a brand or product has the opportunity to be picked up by an influencer - work with the brand teams on objectives/targets






    • BA/BS in marketing, merchandising or a related discipline preferred


    • Minimum of five to seven years experience in digital marketing


    • Requires extensive knowledge of online marketing channels, including affiliate marketing, SEM/PPC/SEO, email, social media marketing, web analytics, A/B testing, conversion, content marketing, customer retention, user experience design, and mobile


    • Demonstrated strategic thinking and creative problem-solving activities with strong ability to implement


    • A Customer Experience champion, with the ability to see from the customer perspective and serve as their advocate


    • Experience managing people and working with third-party vendors


    • Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of senior management and work cross functionally


    • Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills with extreme attention to detail


    • Ability to take initiative and make decisions that will impact the business


    • Strong capabilities in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, including: Excel, Word, Power Point& Outlook


    • Effective written and verbal communication skills


    • Effective interpersonal skills and attitude to promote and support productive working relationships


    • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
