Executive Assistant to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Ferrum College is seeking a full-time Executive Assistant to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. Responsible for supporting senior-level administrators, the Executive Assistant maintains a variety of records and documentation pertaining to academics, student life, and student affairs initiatives of the College. Reporting to the Provost, the Executive Assistant will be highly skilled in managing an active office. Normal office responsibilities include preparing and maintaining daily correspondences, processing mail, filing, photocopying, scanning, management of databases, preparation of reports, working with budget records, reconciling credit card statements and other daily tasks as assigned. The Executive Assistant will maintain the travel and calendar events of the Provost and arrange meeting events on and off campus. Additional responsibilities will include providing support for the Provost's Council, Academic Cabinet, Academic/Student Affairs Committee of the Board of Trustees, and additional work assignments made by the Provost.

Minimum qualifications of an Associate's degree with strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, have good working familiarity with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The candidate must communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, and will be expected to complete basic web-related research and learn a variety of job-related software systems.

Preferred qualifications of a BA or BS degree, with a minimum of 10 years related experience.
