Field Operations Manager - Facilities



 



Salary Range:  $75,909 to $117,166



Under the direction of the Director of Public Works, the Field Operations Manager has the responsibilities of administering, implementing, directing and supervising both short and long term maintenance, repair, renovation and construction activities related to the Town’s portfolio of municipal buildings.  This multi-functional role requires utilizing both in-house staff and outside vendors to safely and effectively deliver a wide variety of building services including, routine maintenance, cleaning, repair and upgrades, renovations, and required testing and inspections.  Responsibilities include preparing and managing both operational and long term capital budgets, as well as managing a wide variety of small operational to large capital projects from inception to completion. 



 



Minimum Qualifications



Associates Degree in facility Management or a related field and four (4) years of facility management or building construction experience, including two (2) years of supervisory experience; may substitute four (4) years of relevant work experience for an Associate’s degree.



Valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s license.  Preference may be given to candidates who possess a Facility Management Administration Certification (FMA) or other Journeyman’s license in the occupational building trades.

All appointments and promotions shall be made according to merit and fitness for performing the functions of the position, including factors such as education, experience, aptitude, knowledge, character, ethics, or other qualifications that would determine the best candidate for the position.  Examinations may include written, oral, physical, or performance tests or any combination of the various types of examinations.  Offers of employment are contingent upon satisfactory results on a background check, pre-employment physical, drug screening and verification of information on the employment application.
