PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

The Information Technology (IT) Support Technician is a mid-level position that leads the support side of the Information Technology department. This includes maintaining user equipment along with helpdesk support. They will help with producing and maintaining all procedures required for the proper operation of systems.

This position also assists other IT Employees with their duties including all daily, weekly and monthly operational duties for production systems. The technician may also be assigned to work on, or lead, projects both inside and outside the IT department. Working after hours and on weekends will also be expected.

Conducts daily business interactions and maintains constant alignment with OnPath's mission, culture and core values and member experience. Encourages others to act with mission, culture, and core values in mind at all times. Initiative and judgment are required in the absence of specific direction from management. Ensures value through decision making that supports credit union goals and interests.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Maintain and deploy employee equipment including computers, printers, workstation software and images. Travel as needed to branch locations, as necessary.

Manage Software consoles including help desk, anti-virus, and print servers.

Execute new user Access and termination control forms.

Perform first-level help desk support for credit union staff, assisting them in using all systems.

Responsible for developing and maintaining documentation to ensure clear understanding of all implementation and operational procedures required for all supported applications.

Assist with the planning and execution of hardware and software upgrades.

Assist with planning and execution of network changes.

SECONDARY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Cross train and assist the other IT Employees with their responsibilities.

The technician will troubleshoot problems, issues and/or concerns with all supported systems and/or applications. Will work with appropriate users, IT staff and/or vendors to resolve issues.

Responsible for maintaining the Intranet as well as updating the site as required by business units.

Perform tasks assigned by supervisor, which are commensurate with position.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

Associates degree, certification or equivalent work experience in related field or a combination of education and experience.

Experience with SQL Report Design, Networking, or Phone System Management is a plus.

High level of analytic and interpersonal skills to ensure excellent customer service can be provided to employees of the credit union when assisting them with their IT needs, and to represent the credit union positively to others.

Excellent oral and written communication skills are a necessity. Candidate must possess the ability to read and write effectively.

Established history of working well with others.

Candidate must possess strong written skills, verbal skills, and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrates an aptitude for understanding the operation of computer systems.

Willingness to learn on the job and the desire of advancing within the IT field.
