Amplify, Inc. is seeking a full time Mobility Manager to serve as Ombudsman for identifying and improving transportation options for persons with disabilities, veterans and older adults who reside in North Central Connecticut. The position works under a Federal Transit Administration and CT Department of Transportation grant and is responsible to coordinate with local transportation providers and develop and distribute travel planning resources to guide individuals with the use of transportation options available in their communities. Candidates must have at least two years’ experience working with people with disabilities, veterans and/or older adults preferably in community outreach/education programs. Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to travel around North Central Connecticut to meet with stakeholders. Must have knowledge of internet based social media and web design. Knowledge of the principles and practices of public transit, paratransit, human services, public planning, or a related field, and an understanding of community organizations, transportation planning, and government and elected leadership are preferred.
