Sol Systems is seeking a Portfolio Manager to join our Asset Management Group. The Asset Management team assists Sol's clients with managing their solar investments through transaction monitoring, financial analysis and advisory services. The team also supports Sol strategic vision by monitoring the company's direct investments, managing financial exposure from existing contracts and advising the company on strategic initiatives.

Our new team member will have primary responsibility for overseeing a portfolio of structured solar investments on behalf of Sol's tax equity and infrastructure investor clients.

The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for:

  • Acting as the primary contact with fund or project counter-parties and investors

  • Identifying potential structural risks in solar transactions and taking action to proactively address them

  • Providing regular financial updates to investors on project performance and financial returns

  • Working with EPC contractors and Sol's internal project management team to track construction progress and communicate timing to investors

  • Managing financing draws with investors, debt providers and project counter-parties

  • Coordinating with other asset management staff and Sol's accounting team as well as technical and legal advisers

  • Overseeing development and workflow of junior support staff

  • Supporting other Asset Management Group functions as needed

A successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Bachelor or master's degree in finance, economics or business

  • Three or more years of experience in asset management, energy and/or project finance

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to succinctly summarize complex financial and technical issues, both in writing and verbally.

  • Experience with financial modeling, credit analysis and financial reporting

  • Ability to organize and manage workflows across different teams and individuals

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Flexibility and ability to work in a small office, open floor plan environment.
