Responsible for providing strategic leadership for the organization by working with the Board of Directors and Executive Management Team to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies.


  • Establishes credibility throughout the organization, community and with the Board of Directors as an effective developer of solutions to the organization's challenges.

  • Provides leadership and management to ensure the mission of the organization is achieved.

  • Responsible for driving the organization to achieve its goals and objectives.

  • Motivates and leads a high-performance management team; attracts, recruits and retains the talent required to achieve organization objectives.

  • Collaborates with the Executive Leadership Team to develop and implement operational plans, programs, processes, systems necessary to meet the goals and objectives of the organization.

  • Ensures that an annual service plan and budget are prepared and presented to the Board of Directors and are reviewed throughout the year. Makes appropriate recommendations as necessary.

  • Maintains the necessary contacts to keep abreast of emerging issues and trends of significance to the organization.

  • Serves on the Board of Directors of various organizations.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Finance, or other related area; Master's Degree preferred. Experience in leading a complex organization of 150 employees or more with budgets $20M is required. Able to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization. Public sector experience at the county, state, or federal level is preferred. Demonstrate high ethical standards. Proficiency in basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook is needed.
