Job Summary

SSC Services is looking for a Regional Vice President for Higher Education Facility Services.  This position plans and directs operations within the assigned region to support the Key Performance Indicators.  Plans objectives for region and ensures management is in compliance with corporate, regional and financial goals. Actively participates and facilitates new business growth within Region.

Responsibilities:

A.    Revenue and Profitability Leadership 

  • Directs business to achieve high performance as measured by the Region scorecard.
  • Develops and monitors realistic and accurate region budget and forecasts; ensures that the region financial performance meets Company and client forecasts; optimizes financial performance and operational productivity.
  • Provides continuing and consistent guidance, leadership and support of region; accomplishes through working directly with regional managers.
  • Participates in the sales process by working with pre-proposal site survey team and aiding in presentations. 
  • Participates in client negotiations and approves final contact.

 
B.    Operational Excellence & Safety 

  • Attains proper pricing; develops new business; eliminates lost business.
  • Directly supports regional managers and their staff members; visits various accounts to understand market conditions.
  • Ensures the policies, practices and objectives established by the company are properly interpreted and uniformly enforced throughout the division as well as compliance with all applicable laws  and safety regulations.

C.    People Management 

  • Hires, develops, and supports regional managers  in business efforts.
  • Ensures consistent and equitable administration of human resource policies, procedures and guidelines to facilitate effective employee relations and support the preferred employer focus.  
  • Provides training opportunities; reviews capital expenditure proposals; communicates organizational goals
  • Identifies region training requirements; develops and coaches management associates to meet staffing needs and talent management program, as well as to ensure optimum utilization of region associates

D.    Adminstration

  • Ensures and promotes SSC’s quality image in the market.
  • Drives new programs; assists in implementing purchasing, marketing and sales programs to increase share of market. 

E.    Client Retention

  • Visits clients and facilities quarterly.  Attends key meetings and functions to maintain visibility
  • Identifies client's needs, communicates account progress and new Company programs to client.  
  • Conducts and/or monitors customer, client and associate satisfaction surveys.  
  • Supports regional manager’s to maintain core customer base.

Qualifications:

  • Position requires minimum of Bachelors degree with at least 10 to 15 years of related or applicable experience.  
  • Must possess thorough knowledge of corporate policy and company products and services.  
  • Management, budgetary and financial training are essential.
