The National Center for Families Learning (NCFL) will launch and facilitate a national early childhood parent and practitioner learning and advocacy network that centers BIPOC family leadership, representation, and advocacy to develop inclusive and equitable early childhood programs. BIPOC parent/community leaders and early childhood practitioners from 5-7 communities will work together to co-design practices and resources that unite, elevate, and incorporate the knowledge, strengths, and lived experiences of underserved families with young children. This learning space will celebrate and prioritize the capabilities of BIPOC families to mobilize and play leading roles in developing an equitable early childhood field through projects that promote and influence larger systems and policy change. Additionally, early childhood practitioners will learn new ways in which to authentically incorporate BIPOC parent leadership into their work. Finally, the network will provide opportunities to catalyze positive, productive narrative change between underserved BIPOC communities and early childhood practitioners.

Position Summary:
Manage projects and provide subject matter expertise on trends and issues involving early childhood education, and at least one of the following five areas: early learning, elementary education, ESL, family engagement, family literacy, community organizing. Provide underlying expertise in effective family engagement practices, parent and community leadership, and co-design. Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:
• Accountable for managing the Early Childhood Leadership Network, including managing the work plans, establishing priorities and deadlines for deliverables, coordinating team members, providing reports and communication to relevant parties, managing the data and evaluation, and ensuring project costs stay within budgetary requirements.
• Plans and delivers high quality, research-based, face-to-face and online professional development and community convenings through secured contracts or as part of project work plans
• Plans and delivers technical assistance and coaching in support of project goals for both parent and community leaders and program practitioners.
• Writes content for the Early Childhood Leadership Network and adapts it for local communities’ policy efforts.
• Facilitates leadership sessions and coalition community workshops.
• Delivers high quality technical assistance in support of local coalition building efforts
• Writes persuasive and engaging materials for families and education professionals
• Recognizes and takes advantage of appropriate opportunities to advance the work of the project team, the organization and the fields of family literacy and family learning
• Attends organization and industry-related meetings, as required
• Supports the annual Families Learning Conference
• Functions as a contributing member of the department's team and other teams

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education preferred
• Previous successful experience as an Early Childhood teacher
• Previous experience in community organizing, advocacy, or community development is preferred
• At least 3 years of teaching experience preferred
• Ability to lead project teams, communicating the strategic vision for the project, connecting the dots with external partners, and motivating team members to effectively achieve successful results
• Demonstrated proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English; prefer proficiency with other languages as applicable. Spanish preferred
• Proven project management skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Valid Driver’s License
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficiency with various presentation hardware and software
• Demonstrated experience in designing educational materials and delivering professional development
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge in program implementation
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse audiences, ensuring all participants feel respected and valued
• Ability to maintain focus under pressure and with multiple priorities
• Ability to effectively utilize technology in an educational environment

Physical and Work Environment:
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs
• Ability to travel at least 50% of the time, including occasional evenings and weekends
• Ability to travel for trips lasting up to six days
Salary Range- $58,000-$68,000
