The Senior Performance Marketing Manager, North America is responsible for managing the organization's digital marketing strategy across all digital channels in the US and Canada. This role will develop and execute our digital marketing and paid media strategies to effectively acquire, engage, and retain consumers across our eCommerce + Professional channels.

Essential Functions:

  1. Develop consumer digital marketing strategies to ensure compelling and relevant digital marketing messaging in the US and Canada for both customer acquisition and retention.

  2. Drive trigger-based lifecycle management communication through a CDP (Customer Data Platform).

  3. Leverage data in the CDP to identify and optimize high value customer segments.

  4. Plan and execute database acquisition campaigns using best-in-class growth tactics to acquire quality consumers who will deliver strong LTV.

  5. Lead strategic vision and oversee customer retention communication through all digital channels.

  6. Oversee direct email campaigns to engage and convert consumers.

  7. Drive end-to-end execution of all paid online media campaigns.

  8. Develop lifecycle management for Professional audience emails including writing/editing/adapting compelling email copy, creative briefing, audience management, campaign set-up, implementation, execution, and analysis.

  9. Work collaboratively with the broader eCommerce team to understand business objectives & results, develop test & learn strategies, and ensure financial targets and organizational goals are met.

  10. In close collaboration with cross-functional and global teams, ensure the digital marketing strategy is seamlessly integrated and executed in category-specific go-to-market plans for US and CA.

  11. Interpret data and metrics to continually evaluate online programs ROI and make recommendations for improvement.


  • Required: Bachelor's degree in any discipline.

  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Advertising, Marketing, or Business.

Work Experience:

  • Required: 5-7 years' experience digital marketing; 2-3 years ecommerce.

  • Preferred: Previous work in outdoor industry: paid social media, SEO, paid search, Display, affiliate; 2+ years' experience managing a team; Knowledge of rock climbing, backcountry skiing/snowboarding and trail running is a plus; experience working with a CDP a plus.

  • Skills and general experience:

  • Robust understanding of core digital marketing pillars (customer acquisition, paid media strategy, audience segmentation, customer lifecycle management, analysis & reporting).

  • Functional skills in key digital marketing channels (paid social media, PPC, SEO/SEM, Youtube, affiliate, email).

  • Experience building customer acquisition and retention strategies.
