SERVICE MANAGER

A Service Manager:





  • Hires, trains, counsels, and monitors performance of all service department staff.


  • Directs and schedules all activities of department employees.


  • Facilitates and/or conducts technical training and sends employees to appropriate training schools as needed.


  • Monitors technicians' productivity.


  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customers.


  • Maintains high-quality service repairs and minimizes comebacks.


  • Administers ans annual operating budget for the service department.


  • Serves as liaison with factory representatives.

Requirements:



  • Proven track record managing service department at a large, metro Chevrolet dealership for at least two years.


  • Background check is required.


  • Drug test is required.


  • Valid Driver's license.


  • At least a high school diploma or GED required.


  • Ability to talk or hear. Ability bend or crouch. Close vision, depth perception, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.


  • Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. Ability to respond to complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.


  • While performing duties of this job employee is exposed to outdoor weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
