TEACHING PROFESSOR/PROGRAM DIRECTOR MS IN ARTS ADMINISTRATION AND MUSEUM LEADERSHIP

The Department of Arts & Entertainment Enterprise at Drexel University's Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design seeks a seasoned, accomplished, and visionary individual to join its faculty and to direct its online program in Arts Administration & Museum Leadership. The Program Director will provide leadership for the cultivation and long-term development of the online program, working in close collaboration with the Program Director of the Arts Administration & Museum Leadership on-campus program and with Drexel University Online. Initial appointment is for a 2-year renewable contract.



This position requires a person experienced in museum and cultural practice, attentive to contemporary issues and scholarship and comfortable with a broad range of issues including organizational development, management, cultivating multiple income streams, the need to nurture diverse communities and audiences, and the impact of technology changes on the sector. This position will also need a person active and engaged in the field to guide students into practicum positions and jobs.





  • Minimum of master's degree in a relevant field


  • Management/leadership experience in a senior level position and professional accomplishment in a museum or cultural institution


  • Demonstrated interest in digital outreach


  • Regional or national reputation
