TRUST OFFICER

FNBC Bank & Trust, a leading Chicago-area community bank, has a rapidly-growing trust department located in the western suburbs of Chicago. We specialize in delivering high-quality personal trust and investment services to affluent individuals, families, and nonprofit organizations. We are seeking an individual with trust experience to add to our team of trust and investment professionals in La Grange, Illinois.





The Job Responsibilities



• Manages assigned account base of client relationships consisting of fiduciary, investment management and retirement funds.



• Focused client service with responsiveness and urgency. Maintains ongoing, proactive communications with clients and beneficiaries in order to retain and grow existing relationships.



• Ensures adherence to fiduciary rules, regulations, and internal policies throughout administration.



• Works with assigned associate, as well as investment and operations partners, to deliver seamless, effective services.



• Manages routine special assets.



• Works with client's professional advisors to deliver comprehensive financial solutions designed to meet client needs.



• Exhibits working knowledge of governing documents and fiduciary duties to effectively carry out the intent of trust grantors, to comply with applicable laws and regulations, and to treat beneficiaries with empathy and patience.



• Assists the department in meeting its growth goals and develops new business opportunities by:



o Making presentations to prospective new clients and referral sources.



o Cultivating relationships with bank partners and the surrounding legal and professional community.



o Seeking out referrals by actively participating in professional, community, and charitable organizations and events.





Qualifications Needed for this Opportunity



• Five or more years of experience in trust administration, estate settlement, guardianship administration or as an estate-planning attorney.



• Strong written and oral communication skills.



• College degree required, J.D. preferred.



• Advanced designations such as CTFA, CPA, CFP preferred.



• Prior supervisory experience helpful.
