Position Summary
Reporting to the Vice Chancellor for Medical Advancement, the Associate Vice Chancellor oversees the entire major gifts program to ensure coordination, collaboration, effective metrics, accountability, and best practices for major gifts fundraising for WashU Medicine and Siteman Cancer Center. In partnership with the Vice Chancellor, this position will be a key leader in the implementation and enhancement of the grateful patient fundraising program, working across all units in Medical and University Advancement in a matrixed way to ensure the appropriate partners are included in planning and implementation of the program.
This position coordinates the operational activities of staff in the areas of service-line major gifts and all individual donor-focused pipeline development activities, including the community fundraising events program. The Associate Vice Chancellor will ensure maximum results through increased internal collaboration with the University Advancement Development Vertical team. This position is one of four that report directly to the Vice Chancellor and is a key member of the senior leadership team for Medical Advancement.
