This position requires the flexibility to work day, swing, and graveyard shifts and also must have availability for weekend duty. Please do not apply if you cannot work any/all of these shifts as required.This position is an entry level position with an abundance of opportunity to learn a wide variety of skills in the railroad communications and signals field.Technical diagnostics and troubleshooting skills and knowledge of pc troubleshooting is highly desirable. The position requires the ability to respond to user application issues, computer and peripheral equipment problems.The successful candidate will need to already have or must be able to gain an understanding data communication standards and designs. Will need to gain functional knowledge of telecommunication and network test equipment. Will be required to quickly grasp a working knowledge to industry telecommunication practices and standards. They will also be required to quickly grasp a working knowledge of railroad signaling concepts and operation, as well as other specialized applications and services needed to provide maintenance and ongoing system improvements.Professional demeanor, reliability, dependability, punctuality, and the ability to carefully follow instructions are the key traits that we are looking for in a candidate to fill this role.IMPORTANT: Do not apply if you cannot meet all of the required work schedule requirements.IMPORTANT: This role requires in-office attendance with no option for remote work.
