Hiring Butterfly Production Specialist at Grace & Honor, Fullerton





This job is all about raising healthy butterflies in a humane way as developed by the International Butterfly Breeders Association and Grace & Honor Corp. Our butterflies are used to create magical & symbolic ceremonies for weddings, birthdays, funerals, farmer’s markets, and more! Here is the basic job description:Harvest and sanitize butterfly eggs for hatching.Harvest and feed caterpillars for growth.Harvest and hang pupa for eclosing. Clean & sanitize all work areas and equipment. Assemble butterfly release boxes & cases for sales.Assist with booth/exhibit setup.Assist with managing live butterfly booths/exhibits.Work in both indoor/outdoor settings. Qualification Requirements:Must not be afraid to handle live butterflies by hand. Must not be afraid to handle live caterpillars by hand.Must not be allergic to butterflies, grass, flowers, and plants.Must not be allergic to bleach or chlorine.Detail oriented and process driven. Work Schedule Requirement: Must be able to work on MON, TUE, THR, and FRIMust work minimum of 4 to 5 continuous hours each day. Shift starts usually at 9AM but can be flexible with discussion.Will be given opportunities to work weekends (non-obligatory) to assist with Live Butterfly Exhibits!About the Work Location:We raise butterflies from our Home-Office. This means that you will be working from a residential house and not a retail store.
