Reads and interprets blueprints to determine if parts are within tolerances. Interprets Geometric Dimensions & Tolerances and verifies machined parts conform to those requirements. Creates CMM programs using Verisurf CMM programming software. Provides support to manufacturing and management as needed. Inspects parts using other metrology tools as needed. Reports to the quality manager and assists with other quality engineering tasks as needed.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESSupports First Piece, In-Process, Final, and Receiving Inspections.Reads blueprints or specifications to determine conformance to dimensions and tolerances.Verifies specified dimensions of product or raw material using calipers, micrometers, intramics, CMM, height gages, comparator, scales and or/other tools.Measures angular dimensions, radii, height, thickness, location, thread lead, and other specifications.Inspects first run parts and assemblies.Rejects defective parts and marks type of defect on part, container of parts, or inspection tag.Works with engineering and machining to create holding fixtures.Generates reports regarding inspection and testing results and provides corrections to the machine operators.Examines defective parts to determine root cause of defects and recommends changes or modifications.Operates and programs Zeiss CMM using Verisurf software.Modifies existing programs to enhance efficiency.Supports inspection duties, quality objectives, and the Quality Management System.Assists in other areas in support of product conformity.Facilitates effective communications and working relationshipsPerforms work requirements in compliance with approved safety procedures.Demonstrates commitment to teamwork by establishing effective relationships and networks with both managers / coworkers and collaborating with them to accomplish shared purposes and goals.QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES3 years related experience and/or training.Must know how to interpret Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance.Must have the ability to work as a team player in a group or team environment and must be able to work independently without supervision.Able to operate and program CMM.Must be flexible enough to work in all areas of operation per the direction of the Leadership.Verisurf experience a plus.Solidworks 3-D modeling skills a plus.Experience with hardness testing a plus.Passion for hunting and shooting a plus.Must pass a background check.Job Type: Full-timePay: Based on ExperienceBenefits:401(k) matchingHealth insurancePaid time offEmployee PricingSchedule:10-hour shift
