They will be responsible for creating and stewarding artistic programming, managing resources effectively, and implementing successful fundraising strategies aligned with the core values and mission of Opera Las Vegas.The General Director will provide strategic leadership to achieve the company’s goals of artistic excellence, financial stability, and community engagement. They will oversee all aspects of the company’s operations, including artistic administration, budgeting, development, marketing, and human resource management. The successful candidate will be able to set and promote an appealing artistic vision for the company, foster a creative environment for artists, and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, donors, and collaborators.In addition to possessing excellent budgeting and financial management skills, the ideal candidate will have a creative entrepreneurial spirit and a track record of successful fundraising. They will be able to communicate persuasively about the importance of opera and Opera Las Vegas, and will have experience working with a variety of internal and external constituents. A Bachelor’s Degree is required, with a Master’s Degree preferred, along with at least 5 years of senior management experience.The General Director will serve as the public face of Opera Las Vegas, cultivating partnerships with arts, cultural, and educational organizations, and representing the company in media and fundraising efforts.
