(UHCMC) and Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Medicine is
seeking a surgical pathologist with subspecialty interest in gynecologic and
perinatal pathology. Applicants should be board-certified in AP or AP/CP with
fellowship training or experience in gynecologic and perinatal pathology and

translational or basic research is encouraged, and collaborative research
opportunities are extensive. Additional protected time is possible for applicants
who will pursue a funded research program in women’s health or reproductive
biology, and start-up packages are available for physician-scientist candidates.
UHCMC receives over 9000 gynecologic surgical specimens per year from over
75 hospital- and office-based clients, including complex oncology cases from five
dedicated gynecologic surgical oncologists. State-of-the-art IHC and molecular
laboratories with Next Generation Sequencing are available in house. The 900+
bed UHCMC includes UH Seidman Cancer Center, UH Rainbow Babies &
Children’s Hospital and UH MacDonald Women’s Hospital, all situated adjacent
to CWRU. The NCI-designated Case Comprehensive Cancer Center supports
basic, translational and clinical cancer research. UHCMC is ranked as one of
America’s 100 best hospitals. The Department of Pathology is in the top 13
nationally in NIH funding and has an annual total of ~100,000 surgical
specimens.
Please send a cover letter, CV and contact information for three references to
[email protected] . Compensation and academic rank will be
commensurate with the candidate’s experience and qualifications. In
employment, as in education, UHCMC and CWRU are committed to equal
opportunity and diversity. Women, veterans, members of underrepresented
minority groups and individuals with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
