Job Description: Licensed Optician (New Jersey)We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Licensed Optician to join our team in a private, high-end optometry practice. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive and professional environment that emphasizes personalized care and attention to detail.Key Responsibilities:Provide expert fitting and adjustments of eyeglasses for patients, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and comfort.Utilize office finishing skills to provide custom lens fabrication and quality control.Interpret prescriptions from optometrists and ophthalmologists and recommend appropriate eyewear solutions.Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that suit their style, vision needs, and budget.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current optical trends and product offerings.Deliver superior customer service in a private, high-end optometry setting, ensuring a positive and professional experience for each patient.Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance.Perform other optical duties as necessary, including dispensing glasses and lenses and managing inventory.Qualifications:Valid New Jersey Opticians License.Minimum of 5 years of experience in an opticianry role, with a focus on patient care and eyewear dispensing.Strong experience in office finishing techniques, with the ability to produce and customize lenses in-house.Proficiency with Vision Service Plan (VSP) and EyeMed insurance.Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.Detail-oriented with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.Work Schedule:27-30 hours per weekOne evening shift (until 7 PM)One Saturday shift (until 1 PM)If you are a dedicated, skilled, and customer-oriented optician with a passion for delivering exceptional care, we encourage you to apply to join our dynamic and friendly team.
