The role requires relocation to the Bay Area.Position Overview: The Operations Engineer Intern/Co-Op will support efforts to streamline processes, enhance operational efficiency, and drive innovation across design, manufacturing, and construction. This role requires a data-driven mindset, a collaborative approach, and a focus on creating scalable, lean systems that support KAEDIXs long-term growth and strategic goals.Key Responsibilities: Co-develop new processes covering all areas of the construction process including material handling, installation methods, productivity assessments and the commissioning and implementation of new tools and techniques. Assist in the implementation of enhanced material flow systems and site layout. Support the modeling and development of new products and processes through data collection, analysis, and impact analysis. Work with construction leads to develop training material for on-site data collection and tool use. Improve construction processes to ensure the highest levels of product quality, process lead-time reductions, and cost savings through the use of lean tools; 6S, Kaizens, Six Sigma, Standard Work, and Total Quality Management applications as applicable.Qualifications:Skills & ExperienceMinimum senior level in a bachelors degree program or advanced degree at an accredited universityPursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain or similarProficient using Excel, PowerPoint Knowledge of lean principles; Desire to work hand in hand with front line operators on a job site Knowledge of Agile mindset, capable of thriving in dynamic, fast-paced environments with competing prioritiesExcellent communication and organizational skills Experience with time studies preferred Knowledge of construction a plus but not requiredStrategic problem-solver with the ability to analyze and synthesize data to inform high-level decision-makingWork Environment:Occasional travel required for project execution, with all travel expenses covered by the companyFlexible hybrid work model balancing on-site engagement with remote collaboration If youre ready to revolutionize construction with KAEDIX, wed love to hear from you.
