Key Responsibilities:Operate and maintain manufacturing machinery and equipment to produce products according to specifications and quality standards.Monitor the production process to ensure that materials, machinery, and procedures meet safety and quality requirements.Conduct routine inspections of machinery, troubleshoot issues, and report any malfunctions to the maintenance team.Set up and calibrate machines and equipment, adjusting settings as needed to maintain optimal production flow.Assist with the loading and unloading of materials and components.Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety and cleanliness protocols.Record production data, including quantities produced, downtime, and any defects or maintenance needs.Follow all safety guidelines, including wearing proper protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring a safe working environment.Work collaboratively with other team members, including supervisors, maintenance personnel, and quality control teams.Participate in training sessions to learn about new machines, processes, and safety procedures.Adhere to all company policies and regulatory requirements, including environmental and safety regulations.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in manufacturing is a plus.Previous experience as a manufacturing operator, machine operator, or similar role is preferred.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, machinery, and production workflows.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals.Basic math and computer skills for data entry and machine operation.Strong attention to detail and quality control standards.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to deadlines and quality standards.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues.Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, or overtime, as needed.Preferred Skills/Experience:Experience with specific machinery or equipment (e.g., CNC machines, injection molding, or assembly lines).Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.Certification in machine operation, safety, or quality control.Previous experience in a similar manufacturing environment (e.g., automotive, food production, electronics).Physical Requirements:Ability to stand for long periods.Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.Ability to bend, twist, and perform repetitive tasks as required by the production line.Manual dexterity to operate machinery and tools.Work Environment:Manufacturing floor with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.Safety protocols and PPE are required to ensure a safe working environment.Work may require shift work, overtime, and occasional weekend hours depending on production demands.
