Responsibilities:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects in various sectors, including, but not limited to, healthcare, commercial, aviation, education, etc. Partner with Field Operations Leaders to analyze project plans, specifications, requirements to assess scope and risks, refine estimates, and adjust project schedules. Partner with internal and external teams to accurately complete quantity survey or materials and resources to successfully complete the project. Utilize cost history and other resources to develop scope, pricing, schedule, logistics, etc. Collaborate with trade partners to obtain pricing and ensure cost-effective, high-quality solutions. Prepare accurate and detailed quantity takeoffs, bid proposals, and budgets.Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams, and trade partners to assist FH in growing its brand and business. Collaborate with project leaders throughout the project to learn challenges and opportunities encountered to create a cost history log to inform future estimates.Continuously develop industry knowledge base using available resources, trade journals, community groups, etc. Assist with project operation activities, as needed, such as trade partner coordination, project documentation, and cost tracking. Required Education and Experience5+ years of estimating experience for a commercial construction general contractor.Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and trade partner scopes.Proficiency in estimating software.Knowledge and experience on reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.Ability to accurately read RFPs and develop appropriate action items and coordination. Ability to put together an accurate preconstruction budget and track time against it. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multi-task.Preferred Education and Experience:College graduate with a construction or engineering-related degreePrior experience estimating commercial, healthcare, multi-family, aviation, or other project contributing to a diverse project portfolio. Prior experience as an Estimator, Senior Estimator, Preconstruction Manager, or Project Manager.Experience with conceptual estimating.Strong relationships with trade partners in the Denver Area.
