================Senior Data Modeler================Contract Position – Remote=====================Overview=======As a data modeler you have key role and autonomy to lead the data modeling domain. Will lead in planning, evaluating, and selecting the right data model for applications across the enterprise from business apps to apps of insight. As part of a highly collaborative team, the role will interact with many technical and business resources across the enterprise. The ideal candidate is a committed, creative, self-motivated technologist who is interested in practicing his or her skills and learning new ones. Primary Duties and Responsibilities========================== Analyzing and translating business needs into long-term solution data models Business and technical requirement elicitation, analysis, and elaboration Continuously monitoring and improving the critical data models to better support the business Working with business services, software engineering, business to create business, logical and physical data models Developing and enforcing best practices for data modeling to ensure consistency within the system Evaluating implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency Create/Author/Edit architecture documents, design documents, data flow diagrams Leverage and enforce standards for data naming conventions to ensure consistency and reuse of data models Designing and documenting architecture at multiple levels (high-level to detailed) and across multiple views (conceptual, logical, physical, data flow and sequence diagrams) Evaluate existing data models and physical databases for variances and discrepancies Create and maintain data models for NoSQL databases like cosmos DB, MongoDB Collaborating with Enterprise Architects in developing logical, physical data models Working efficiently with various stakeholders and business units within the firm to understand data for ingestion and integration into a common data model Providing direction to a Data Engineering team in building in developing, populating, and publishing data into an enterprise data model Assisting end users in understanding the established data models and consuming data for their downstream application and use Working with the platform team to optimize data mapping and data mastering functions Organize working sessions with business operations team to understand sources of data and expected output Complete other tasks as required
