Report to: Assistant General Manager and Restaurant ManagerFLSA Status: Non-ExemptSchedule: Based on Business Needs Essential Function:Obtain service area assignment at the beginning of each shiftPromptly greet guests as they are seated and bring water to tableDeliver food and beverages from the kitchen and bar to guests in a timely matterPerform side work at the start, during and end of each shift as required by service station assignmentRemove used tableware between courses and provide tableware for next courseClear tables after guestsTake soiled tableware to dish room and unload, sort and stack silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in designated areas in the soiled dish drop off areaBetween the seatings, promptly clean tabletops, chairs, and booths. Check floor and clean as required Reset and arrange tabletopInspect assigned restrooms every 30 minutes and clean as neededBag and haul trash to dumpster at designated timesRespond appropriately to guest requestsCommunicate guest requests to server as neededCommunicate with server and hostess to assure efficient seating, table utilization and customer serviceAssist server as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periodsMonitor and observe guests’ dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requestsPrepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges, or make change (if applicable)Be ready and willing to assist fellow server assistants as situations ariseThank guests as they are leavingReports to work on time and as scheduledUnderstands shift ends once approved by MODCommunicates any problems, challenges, complaints, or service difficulties, in a timely manner, to the manager on duty or beverage managerResponsible for the proper use and maintenance of all associated equipmentFollows company guidelines regarding uniforms and personal hygieneEnsures that company policy regarding drinking age is followed and that the service of alcoholic beverages to obviously intoxicated guests is stopped and referred to the Manager on duty immediatelyBe available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisorDepartmental Responsibilities:Arrives punctually for scheduled shifts, adhering to company attendance policyDemonstrates proper care and respect for company propertyMaintains all food and beverage passing areas free and clear of debrisAttend pre-shift meetings and training sessions to stay informed about menu items, specials, and service protocolsAdheres to cleaning checklists and fulfils duties as assigned diligentlyConsistently maintaining compliance of restaurant safety policies and proceduresPromptly notifying managers of any customer complaints, comments, or issuesRemains actively engaged and present in the restaurant operations during service hoursPossesses comprehensive knowledge of the beverage menuCommunicates issues or suggestions to the management team for resolution and improvementAdapts professionally and contributes to teamwork to enhance customer experienceClears tables and removes dishes promptly after customer departure or as neededAssists with taking used dishes to the designated cleaning area in the kitchenMaintains focus and remains on-task throughout the shiftPerforms sweeping and mopping of floors, addressing spills or breakages promptly and effectivelyKnowledge of food safety and sanitation practices preferredQualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
