Partners Dental Studio, a leading orthodontic lab, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Shipping and QC Lead to oversee the efficient operation of our shipping and quality control departments. This position requires a meticulous individual who can ensure that all products meet the highest standards of quality while managing the daily responsibilities of our fast-paced shipping environment. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while adhering to strict deadlines. As a leader in both shipping and quality control, this individual will play a pivotal role in maintaining our commitment to exceptional quality and service. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support the needs of the departments and the organization. Responsibilities:Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality control process for all outgoing items. Inspect products for any defects, damage, or deviations from specifications, ensuring that only the highest quality items are shipped.Incoming Goods Handling: Unpack and thoroughly inspect incoming products and materials, ensuring compliance with quality standards and proper storage procedures.Inventory and Storage Management: Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the warehouse layout and the locations of all inventory items. Ensure that all items are organized, stored safely, and easily accessible.Work Order Creation and Communication: Create detailed work orders for shipments, ensuring accuracy in the products being shipped and coordinating with warehouse staff and supervisors to facilitate the smooth flow of operations. Communicate any discrepancies or concerns with supervisors and team members in a timely manner.Task Assignment and Supervision: Assign and monitor tasks for warehouse staff, ensuring that all activities, from product inspection to packaging and shipping, adhere to company quality standards.Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments, including production, to ensure that all products meet quality expectations before shipment. Assist in the distribution of items within the building and to other locations as required.Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the shipping and QC workflow and help implement solutions that improve efficiency and product quality.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of quality control checks, shipments, and inventory. Ensure proper documentation is completed for all items that are shipped or returned. Qualifications:High School Diploma3 or more years of prior shipping experience in a manufacturing environment3 or more years of quality control experiencePrevious lab experience is a plus, but not required Strong understanding of quality control processes and identifying product defects or errorsExcellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Physical stamina to lift packages (up to 50lbs) and stand for extended periods.Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively manage a team and collaborate across departments.High attention to detail and commitment to ensuring the highest standards of product quality.
