We are looking for a TMS Technician & Medical Assistant to administer Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy and provide additional clinical and administrative support for our psychiatry providers.Position OverviewThis is an exciting role that will cover many tasks, offer opportunities for learning and growth, and be a critical part of our team at Vantage Mental Health which includes other administrative support staff. It will also be one that requires learning and a engagement to be successful. This role primarily focuses on delivering TMS therapy, a non-invasive treatment for depression and other mental health conditions. In addition, you will support psychiatric providers with medical assistant duties. We are open to both experienced and interested applications. All applicants must have some medical background and most importantly be interest and able to learn quickly. We are able to train and support with regard to specific tasks of both TMS medical assistant tasks. The schedule is flexible based on candidate availability, ranging from 24 to 40 hours a week but will be set on a regular Monday-Friday basis to ensure consistent access to TMS treatment for patients.Key ResponsibilitiesPrimary Role: TMS Technician (training included)Administer Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy following provider protocolsEducate patients on the TMS treatment process, expectations, and potential side effectsMonitor patients during sessions and document treatment progressEnsure proper setup, calibration, and maintenance of TMS equipmentMaintain a clean, professional, and organized treatment environmentCommunicate with psychiatric providers regarding patient response to treatmentSecondary Role: Medical AssistantBe a main point of support for psychiatric providers at Vantage Mental Health. Assist patients in navigating care recommendations, scheduling, and referralsAnswer calls, respond to emails, and facilitate communication between patients and providersSubmit prior authorizations for medications and treatmentsProcess medication refill requestsManage provider inbaskets and ensure timely task resolutionCheck in clients for appointments and take vitals when neededMaintain accurate patient records in the EMR systemHandle insurance verifications and billing processesAssist in administration of other psychiatry services such as medication administration as trained and indicatedAssist in developing and optimizing protocols for administrative and patient support tasksWhat Were Looking ForMedical Assistant, or similar healthcare background preferredPrior experience with TMS therapy is a plus (training will be provided if needed)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsComfort working directly with patients in a mental health settingProficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and patient scheduling systemsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentDetail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality patient careWhy Join Us?This role offers the opportunity to specialize in TMS therapy, an innovative and growing field in mental health treatment, while also gaining experience in medical assisting.
