Hiring Vet Tech Faculty at Great Falls College Montana State University, Great Falls





This position is a full-time, tenured faculty position for our new Veterinary Technician program. This position performs instruction-related duties and responsibilities for the Division of Health Sciences and the Vet Tech program in accordance with the philosophy, mission, policies, and procedures of the college. Most instruction will occur using an online platform with students partnering with vet facilities across the state to complete labs and clinicals. Remote work is an option for this position but intermittent travel to Great Falls, MT, may be required as needed for students.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop syllabi, courses, Canvas shells, and assessment instruments for assigned courses.
  • Maintain current educational methodology concepts consistent with teaching assignments.
  • Attend faculty meetings, hold weekly office hours, and participate in program related events outside of teaching assignments.
  • Participate on college committees and in college activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and veterinary offices across the state.

Required Qualifications Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

  1. Graduate from anAVMAaccredited Veterinary Program or aAVMACVTEAaccredited program.
  2. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Demonstrated experience with computers.
  4. Hold a current veterinary license in Montana or can easily obtain one.

Preferred Qualifications Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

  1. Online teaching experience.
  2. Teaching experience at a two-year or four-year college.
  3. Demonstrated experience in course development.
